Yes, this is actually a picture of me - at a much younger age. I am a little bit older now and not as attractive.

  Well, older anyway.

Like most vain people, I am desperately trying to change my lifestyle to get back to my original weight.

   7 pounds - 6 ounces.

I have many years of experience writing advertising copy - for small agencies, large agencies. Full-time and free-lance. For no money, little money, and lots of money. I like writing and being paid lots of money - because that allows me to write for charitable projects that pay little or no money.

I was President of Straiton/Enge Advertising Inc. for 12 years (couldn't find a real job).  Small agency; big clients.  Had a lot of fun, made great friends, created a ton of advertising with measurable results.

I have many years of experience as a comedy writer and gag writer for a long roster of entertainers and personalities. I have helped write speeches and banquet material for sports personalities (including Blue Jays / Mets pitcher Al Leiter; Toronto Maple Leaf/Washington Capitols hockey goalie Mike Palmateer; and Canadian sports broadcaster Tom Cheek) as well as politicians and senior corporate executives. I have written thousands of lines for roasts and retirement events. I have written and produced many corporate videos for Sony and Warner Music. I was the co-writer of a Gordon Lightfoot / Good Brothers music special for First Choice cable - a project that I regret to this day. Name dropping? How's this - I'm probably the only writer in the world who has written comedy material for that well-known comedian, Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones (for their Hawaii concert opening of the Bridges to Babylon World Tour).

One of the most enjoyable projects? Writing a script for actor Ed Asner to promote the rescue and adoption of retired racing greyhounds in the South-West.

But when I think about it, most of this should probably mean nothing to you. What's more important is this - can I write what YOU want and need? Can I communicate YOUR message to your audience - whether it's some funny lines for a retirement roast, a print ad, or a commercial radio script?

   Yes, I know I can.

I can provide new insight into an old problem, offer a creative direction that you may not have thought of...and make it sell.

I was also a Teaching Master of Broadcast Communication at Seneca College (Toronto, Canada) for seven years - teaching script writing for television and film. I have acted as a private Communications Consultant for The Toronto Humane Society and currently serve in the same position to Canada Greyhound Relocation & Adoption (I write and produce all of their public service radio commercials). For several years, I was also a writer and broadcast consultant for the Cash For Life Lottery (won a Clio award for radio; don't know where it is. Don't care.)

As I mentioned earlier, I am simply a writer: capable of writing whatever the client wants me to write - print advertising, radio and television scripts, direct marketing material, corporate videos, stand-up comedy routines, speeches, etc., etc., etc.

Let me prove it to you.
